Bells Up’s 2015 Prelude Rosé of Pinot Noir featured at Newberg’s Subterra Restaurant

subTERRAlogoWe are thrilled to announce that Bells Up Winery’s 2015 Prelude Willamette Valley Rosé of Pinot Noir wine, released in April, has been selected by Martin Bleck, executive chef of Newberg’s Subterra Restaurant, for inclusion in the establishment’s “Rosé Spring Fling 2016.” Martin and his wife/boss Janet, who runs the pair’s Rogue Gourmet Catering Company, dropped in for a tasting while delivering a lush catering spread for a private Fanfare Club member’s event here, and surprised us with the news.

Janet and Martin Bleck, owners of Newberg’s Subterra Restaurant, have selected Bells Up’s 2015 Prelude Rosé of Pinot Noir for inclusion in a lineup of local rosé wines.

As it turns out, Martin—who selects all the wines for Subterra’s wine list—is passionate about the pink. “He can’t get enough of the stuff, and by the time we get into summer his side of the home garage is filled with cases and cases of rosés,” writes Janet. “It’s always a sign that spring is here. So we decided to share a little with our valued customers!”

Here’s how Martin describes it:

’15 Bells Up Rosé of Pinot Noir “Prelude” Willamette Valley

Made from a well established, yet little known vineyard in the northern Willamette. A nice medium bodied rosé that has complex flavors.

In addition to Prelude, Subterra’s Spring Fling includes rosé wines from Capitello, Dowsett, Illahe, J Wrigley, La Chouette, Patton Valley, and our neighbors Rain Dance Vineyards.

Of course, if you wish to taste Prelude or any of Bells Up Winery’s other wines, you can do so by calling us at 503.537.1328; we’re always open by appointment and delighted to pour for you! Or, drop in during one of our five Memorial Day Open House days: Saturday and Sunday, May 21-22 or Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 28, 29 and 30—noon to 4 p.m. daily.
