*Okay, not really…
But it TOTALLY felt like it when we had our first ever wine tasting tour group arrival BY HELICOPTER!
A #throwbackThursday post…
Bells Up is one of the select few Chehalem Mountains AVA winery destinations offered by Tour de Vine by Heli, the wine tour guide part of Newberg’s Precision Helicopters. Their first visit was Saturday, July 23, 2016. And it was really fun and exciting. There was squealing and hand clapping and jumping up and down—not just from us, but from the guests too. It seriously is a cool way to travel between wineries (or so we’ve heard).
We were fortunate that our friends at Chehalem Ridge Bed & Breakfast, just 400 feet up the mountain from us to the northeast, were able to capture some cool photos and video of the arrival. Here’s what it looked like from 1,100 feet:
And here’s a couple of photos from Chehalem Ridge too…
Meanwhile, we were taking loads of pictures from the winery building.
We were having so much fun with the guests, we got a visit from Tiffany in the official Mobile Operations vehicle to make sure we didn’t stray too far off schedule.
All too soon it was time for our guests to fly off to their next winery destination…
