Wine reviewer and blogger Chelsey Nelson, also known as “Wino On A Budget,” recently enjoyed our 2018 Prelude Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir on a beach day—albeit a 55-degrees-in-Seattle beach day. We were tickled to discover that she featured a review and the photo above on her Instagram feed (followed by more than 13,000 Instagrammers).
Chelsey, a 20-something Seattle-based wine lover who describes herself as having “champagne taste on a beer budget,” focuses on sub-$25 wines, with the occasional splurge. So our $22 Rosé was a perfect fit. Here’s what she had to say about our sold out 2018 Prelude Rosé:
Best while… pairing my rosé with my beach read. Don’t let this photo fool you, I’m in jeans and a sweatshirt in a frigid 55 degree Spring day. But I won’t trade in a crisp day at the beach with a good book and an even better wine. This rosé from Bells Up Winery in Oregon is such a great treat. I tried their rosé last year before it sold out and was excited to get my hands on another bottle at the beginning of the season. This fuller-bodied rosé is named for Franz Liszt’s “Symphonic Poem No. 3: Les Preludes.” With balanced acidity and bright fruit forward flavors, it’s going to be a staple rosé for me this summer.

We’ll be featuring 2018 Prelude and several other wines at our upcoming Pre-Memorial Day and Memorial Day Weekend Open Houses, and we still have plenty in stock (so far—like last year it’s selling fast again). Swing by or give us a call to get your bottles.
