Rusty Gaffney M.D., also known as The Prince of Pinot and author of the PinotFile newsletter, has been reviewing Pinot noir since his 2001 retirement from ophthalmology. He’s reviewed several of our wines previously, including our 2013, 2014 and 2015 Titan. So we sent him the 2016 Titan for his feedback this spring.
Here’s what he had to say:
“Moderately light ruby red color in the glass. Leading off are aromas of red cherry, strawberry and sandalwood. A lighter, gentle and elegant wine featuring red fruits with an ancillary botanical note. Forward drinking, with gossamer tannins, good acidity, and a slightly tart and short red cherry finish.”
The 2016 Titan was released last September and has been selling quickly. We’ll also be featuring it (and three other wines) throughout Memorial Day Weekend during our three days of open houses, noon-4 p.m. for tastings without an appointment. Call or email us today to reserve your bottles!
