2018 Rhapsody “Reminiscent of Gooseberry and Lime Zest,” Says Great Northwest Wine

The esteemed tasters at Great Northwest Wine, Eric Degerman and Andy Perdue, have shared their thoughts about 2018 Rhapsody Pinot Blanc in a recent post among their wine news coverage, features, industry insights and tasting notes.

The pair have been writing about the wines of the Pacific Northwest—including Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Idaho—for more than 35 years. Indeed, they’ve previously reviewed several of our wines, including 2015 Titan Pinot Noir and 2015 Firebird Syrah.

Here’s what they thought of our latest Pinot Blanc release:

“Dave Specter works with 11-year-old vines at Plum Hill Vineyard in Gaston, Ore. for this single ton of Pinot Blanc, which the professional French horn player named in honor of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Citrusy aromas reminiscent of gooseberry and lime zest are joined by Asian pear. A tip of the glass brings into view “wine diamonds” at the bottom, which usher in tangy flavors of fresh-squeezed lemonade and Granny Smith apple. The finish of wet stone and a twist of lime combine to lend itself to linguini in clam sauce, mussels or Fettuccine Alfredo.”

The 2017 version of Rhapsody sold out in just under four months, and 2018 is moving quickly as well. If you’d like to obtain a bottle or more (available in a convenient 12-pack), call or email us and we’ll get it in your hands.
