The 2018 vintage of our leanest, spiciest Pinot Noir — Candide Nemarniki Vineyard Reserve — just received a 90-point score from Paul Gregutt, Contributing Editor at Wine Enthusiast (wines receiving scores from 90-93 are considered “Excellent” and “Highly Recommended”).
It’s a hat trick of sorts, as both 2018 Titan and 2018 Villanelle were likewise awarded 90 points from Gregutt, who focuses solely on reviewing the wines of Oregon and Canada for the magazine. He writes:
This single-vineyard selection has a pleasing particularity to the flavors. Principally Wädenswil clone, it broadly displays strawberry fruit with a hint of pungency. The acidity is still sharp and youthful, with an astringent finish.
