It’s heavy equipment season at the Vineyard.

Tomorrow, July 8, is the Chief Marketing Officer’s milestone 40th birthday. To celebrate, she acquired a cherry red, midlife crisis convertible, seen here:

The winemaker has usurped the CMO’s birthday tractor.

Rest assured, the CMO has left the tractor driving to the Winemaker. He’s even moved a couple of rocks from one side of the property to the other, while “practicing” on her new toy. See?

The winemaker moves rock to its new (temporary) home.

In other earth-shaking news, last week we FINALLY got our liquor license application reviewed and approved by first the Feds, and then the State of Oregon, so we are now (barely) legal. Stay tuned for more details on pre-sales once we get all the details worked out.

We can also announce that the Barn Renovation into Winery/Tasting Room has officially kicked off. We picked up our building permits from the county over the last couple of weeks, including our plumbing permit that we needed to start trenching. Today the heavy equipment started the digging needed to bring water, septic and gas lines over to the barn.

More exciting pictures of Dave playing in the dirt to come later this week!
