Bells Up’s owner, winemaker Dave Specter joins Board of Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers

Bells Up owner & winemaker, Dave Specter, is the newest member of the Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers’ Board of Directors.

Dave Specter, owner and winemaker of Newberg, Oregon’s Bells Up Winery has joined the Board of Directors for the Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers (CMW) association, effective March 1, 2016. Specter was persuaded to add his name to the ballot by incoming CMW President Cathy Redman of Redman Wines.

In addition to Ms. Redman, Specter joins current Board Members Jim Prosser  (CMW Vice President) of J.K. Carriere Winery, Todd Hansen (CMW President Emeritus and Treasurer) of Longplay Wine, David Adelsheim of Adelsheim Vineyard, Luisa Ponzi of Ponzi Winery, Harry Peterson-Nedry of Chehalem Wines, and Kevin Johnson of Dion Vineyard. Also newly elected to the Board are Corby Stonebraker-Roles of Roco Winery and Tom Mortimer of Le Cadeau Vineyard.

The CMW represents members whose wineries and vineyards are located in the 100 square miles that comprise the Chehalem Mountains AVA and the Ribbon Ridge AVA. More than 75 different wineries are affiliated with the organization, which works to promote the wines produced specifically in this part of the Willamette Valley.
