Tri-City Herald’s Northwest Wine Highlights Oregon Pinot Noir, Including Bells Up’s 2015 Titan

— Wow —

What an incredible moment to discover that Bells Up was mentioned among this crop of premier producers of Pinot Noir in the Willamette Valley in the article, “Northwest Wine: Oregon retains focus on Pinot Noir.

In the Tri-City Herald’s February 20, 2018 edition, Northwest Wine writers Andy Perdue and Eric Degerman showcased a selection of seven different Pinots from some of our favorite producers and people in the valley (notably Don Hagge and Vicki Lewis of Vidon Vineyard).

We were stunned to discover that Bells Up’s 2015 Titan Willamette Valley AVA Pinot Noir was included. Also showcased in this list of premium Pinots are those made by Lynn Penner-Ash of Penner-Ash Wine Cellars and Bryan Weil of Alexana Winery.

Bells Up winemaker Dave was incredibly fortunate to have worked and learned the fine art of Pinot Noir production under both Lynn and Bryan during his 2012 harvest internship at Alexana, and to be mentioned in the same article as both of them is, frankly, an unbelievable accomplishment and a tremendous honor—particularly considering that 2015 was only our third year of production.

We are truly stunned and humbled that Dave’s wines have been so well received. Honestly, it blows us away.

Every.

Single.

Time.

(“Don’t set the bar so low you trip over it,” right?) Time to go crack open a bottle of Penner-Ash or Alexana Pinot to celebrate!
