Reviewer for both Washington Wine Blog and International Wine Report, Dr. Owen Bargreen—Level 2 Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers—has sampled 2018 Rhapsody Pinot Blanc and pronounced it an “awesome release by the talented Dave Specter.”
Bargreen, who assigned a 90-point score to the wine, had this to say:
2018 Bells Up ‘Rhapsody’ Pinot Blanc –The ‘Rhapsody’ Pinot Blanc is an awesome new release by the talented Dave Specter. This limited production wine was entirely aged in stainless steel prior to bottling. On the nose this takes on bright pear, kiwi and Meyer lemon rind aromas that all connect nicely. Bright, with a good sense of minerality, the wine shows off vibrant lemongrass, Japanese pear and green papaya flavors that connect with the excellent tension in the wine. While this may be lacking in some weight, the freshness shines through here. Drink 2019-2024 – 90
