2018 Helios “A Glass of Sunshine,” says Drink In Nature

Photographer and wine writer Elaine Luxton, who authors the Drink In Life blog and publishes her photography under her Instagram account, Drink In Nature Photography, visited us earlier this year and snagged a few bottles to take back to her “studio”: the great outdoors of Washington state (she’s posted a feature about her experience as well as included us in “A Summer Fling in the Garden with Rosé,” showcasing several rosés from the pacific northwest.

Luxton also enjoyed the sample of 2018 Helios Estate Seyval Blanc that we poured for her, and subsequently posted this review on her Instagram feed (and the photo featured above):

Bells Up 2018 Helios: Do you know that feeling of sitting in a meadow on the first sunny day of spring with the smell of wild flowers and green grass surrounding you? Now imagine that aroma with the addition of a tropical citrus bowl of fruit. My first thought was a glass of sunshine and aroma of spring. Bright, clean and a cascading flood of fruit flavors greet you on the first sip. Flavors of pear, lemon and soft stone fruits all try to push each other aside to be the prominent flavor.

As our 2018 harvest only produced 15 cases, we released our first estate Helios to Fanfare Club members only, and there are just two cases left. To reserve your bottles, contact us at the winery at info@bellsupwinery.com or call 503-537-1328 and we’ll be happy to set some aside for you.
