Join Winemaker Dave and THE Truffle Master, Stefan Czarnecki of Black Tie Tours, for “A Bougie Truffle Tromp”
Bells Up Winemaker Dave Specter is the guest vintner for the Sunday, February 26 Bougie Truffle Tromp.
The day begins with a pickup from a Newberg location, followed by transportation to Stefan’s local truffle forest. There, you’ll meet up with the truffle hunting team and winemaker.
Participants will learn some of the basics of truffles and truffle hunting from Stefan before setting out into the woods. That’s where the magic happens! The truffle team will work hard and get as many quality truffles as they can before you move on to lunch.
Lunch will be served in a covered area by Chef Erick Caballero of Paradiso Restaurant. Weather permitting, he’ll cook the fresh and local fare over a fire on site and incorporate fresh truffles so you can enjoy the tasty delights we just unearthed!
Dave will pour Bells Up wines during lunch and tell you all about their process, history and what makes those wines special to them. Oregon pinot noir and truffle are a natural pairing!
If guests are up for another run through the woods, then a second round of truffle hunting may be included, weather and guest preference dependent. Participants will also take a truffle or two home.
