2024 Rhapsody
Estate Pinot Blanc ∞ Chehalem Mountains AVA
87 cases produced. $38
For the first time, Rhapsody Pinot Blanc — named for George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” — was sourced entirely from our own vineyard. Planted in Fall 2021, the mid-April freeze of 2022 delayed our first harvest until 2024. Lithe and lively, Rhapsody fermented and aged for six months sur lie to produce a fuller-bodied wine. No malolactic fermentation allows crisp acidity, subtle minerality, and spicy characteristics to take center stage.

2024 Helios
Estate Seyval Blanc ∞ Chehalem Mountains AVA
28 cases produced. $38
The first and only planting of Seyval Blanc in the Willamette Valley (second in Oregon), Helios is named for Carl Nielsen’s “Helios Overture, Opus 18.” Grown in Bells Up’s vineyard, this hybrid wine grape is found mainly in the Midwest – our former home – and East Coast. Although unrelated to Sauvignon Blanc, Helios shares many similarities in flavor and texture.

2024 Joy
Estate Seyval Blanc Brut ∞ Chehalem Mountains AVA
37 cases produced. $48
Named for Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, “Ode to Joy,” and grown in Bells Up’s vineyard, this hybrid wine grape is found mainly in the Midwest – our former home – and East Coast. It is also grown in England, where it is frequently produced as a sparkling wine. Joy is made the same way as our still Seyval Blanc, Helios – fermented to dry, then receiving an extended sur lie treatment to build body and character. To produce Joy, the wine is then lightly dosaged and carbonated.

2023 Prelude
Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir ∞ Chehalem Mountains AVA
61 cases produced. $34
Named for Franz Liszt’s “Symphonic Poem No. 3: Les Preludes” and sourced from the Bells Up vineyard, this is the newest edition of our fuller-bodied rosé. A harmonious blend of heritage clone Pommard (40%) and Dijon clones 113 (40%) and 667 (20%) soaked on skins for 44 hours, then lightly pressed prior to fermentation. The wine then underwent a malolactic ferment to smooth its acidity, yielding a full-bodied, highly complex and savory Rosé with balanced acid and fruit.
