Ever wonder what it would be like to travel the world’s different wine regions and sample each area’s product in person? British wine writer Amanda Barnes is doing exactly that, only she’s not just interested in tasting the wines of the world—she’s dropping in during harvest season to get a better feel for what makes each area unique. And she’s racking up the frequent flyer miles, with a goal of visiting 80 regions, 42 countries and 6 continents over a three-year period.
Amanda is documenting her travels on a dedicated website, Around the World in 80 Harvests, as well as through social media outlets Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We were honored and delighted that Bells Up Winery and estate vineyard was one of the sites she visited on September 1, 2016. We had a great time chatting about her adventure and sharing our wines with her.
We were particularly tickled when she tweeted her visit with us, here…
AND, then she name checked us in a subsequent article, written for the October 2016 of the Oregon Wine Press and posted to her website, as seen here…
Thanks Amanda! We’re looking forward to continuing to follow your adventures over the next 24 months!
