Travel writer Margot Bigg, who’s based in Portland, has featured us again! This time, she included a quote from Dave in the newest edition of the Lonely Planet Travel Guide for Washington, Oregon & the Pacific Northwest.
Margot wrote the intro chapter for the guidebook. She had room for two brief quotes from local business owners about their favorite season in their region of residence, and invited us to provide one of them!
Dave’s Favorite Season (Unfortunately) Involves Allergies
The book was released in June, and includes this little nugget from Dave, on page 34:
“June and July — late spring/early summer — in the Willamette Valley is my absolute favorite time of the year. The weather is beautiful and the vineyards are beginning to truly leaf out after several months of dormancy. The flowering red bud trees, wildflowers, and crimson clover are also in bloom. It’s an absolutely stunning time to experience the region. Admittedly, it can also be allergy season, so plan accordingly.”
