Women of Willamette (WOW), the region’s professional and personal networking group for women, featured Bells Up Winery’s Chief Marketing Officer Sara Specter in its June newsletter. In a “Member Spotlight” interview with fellow WOW member Vida Ice, Sara shared the story behind Bells Up, as well as a few details about her background and her freelance marketing firm.
The WOW organization offers women the opportunity to connect with other women to form friendships and business relationships. Events are held monthly at locations throughout the valley, giving WOW members and their guests an opportunity to build stronger connections while enjoying the beautiful surroundings, cuisine and wines that are unique to the valley. The group also aims to grow the businesses of its members and their communities.
Sara has been a WOW member since 2012, and Bells Up will be the featured winery at WOW’s June 29 event, “Diana’s Garden Party” in Sherwood.
In the interview, Sara talks about the impact the life and death of her professional mentor Kelly had on the start of the winery, her bond with fellow WOW member Tina Hammond of Privé Vineyard, making engineers sound like human beings, and her “you pick” problem (yes, grape pie is discussed).
