Life Between The Vines Podcast Features Bells Up

Back at the beginning of April, Ray Fister — creator and producer of the Life Between The Vines podcast and video series — dropped in to interview Winemaker Dave. Podcast #330 was recently posted, with Fister writing:

Wine and music make a perfect pairing. Nothing new there. But how often do you get to meet a wine loving French horn player living in Oregon? Or for that matter, a winemaker that was a lawyer in another life, who also happen to play the French horn? David Specter is all of those. Although David no longer practices law he does occasionally pick up the horn. But the simple fact is these days he’s now busy making wine in the Willamette Valley. We met with David on a rainy spring day to chat about his wine (of course) and the meaning behind the name Bells Up.

Additionally, the pair discussed a variety of topics, including Sara’s status as Money Honey, the weather, our background as amateur winemakers, our first vintages from 2013 and 2014 before we opened the tasting room in 2015. They also chatted about Syrah, Dave’s attorney career, the people who helped us along the way as we established the winery here in Newberg and our inspiration for Dave’s career change.
